Myrtis: face to face with the past

At the Museum of the Bank of Greece, the special temporary exhibition "Myrtis: face to face with the past" is accompanied by an interactive museum-educational programme of experiential learning, that has a duration of one hour. 

The programme, specifically designed for primary- and early secondary-education pupils, narrates the story of Myrtis and presents the historical evolution of transaction methods, with an emphasis on money exchanges in Athens of the Golden Era of Pericles. 

Children become familiar with the way currencies are created, and construct their own coin, made of clay.
